About The Woodshop Editing Service

The Woodshop Editing Service is a comprehensive academic and literary editing business focused on partnering with students and literary professionals to help them achieve their most flawless writing. Hannah Wood is an NYU graduate with two master’s degrees who can assist you in any part of the writing process. One of her specialities is working with non-native English speakers, and she is knowledgeable about the specific grammar and sentence structure challenges that they face. In order for any writer to hone a sharp structure and to carve out a clear argument, a project must undergo multiple edits. Whether you’re just starting with a dissertation or book proposal, need a substantive edit as you move from the first to the second draft, or are looking for basic proofreading or copy editing as the project nears its completion, The Woodshop can help you to create your best work.

Testimonials

Hannah has been my editor for 3 years. I can’t imagine writing my dissertation without Hannah. She is very responsible and always works in a timely manner. She does not just do proofreading, but also leaves thoughtful comments and realistic suggestions for the flow and the structure, which has been extremely helpful for my writing. Also, she understands different contexts of writing and has expansive knowledge of various genres. I shared my artist statement with Hannah and I really enjoyed her feedback that led me to see the true beauty of words.
